Kristopher Schulte, LPRT, CHRS – President

Licensed Life & Health Agent # 0505639

Kris started his insurance career at Mutual of Omaha specializing in health insurance during the summer of 1975 while attending college. In an effort to better serve his client base with a wider selection of products he formed Schulte Insurance Agency in 1987. The agency was originally located in The Lumberyard shopping center in Encinitas on Coast Highway 101. As the agency grew he purchased a building on 2nd Street one block west of the old location in 2002.

Schulte Insurance Agency was formed for the prime purpose for finding solutions for a wide range of life and health insurance products for both individuals and business owners.  Each member of our staff are licensed agents who participates in ongoing education & training.  One of the key reasons for our success is that we strive to provide quality policy service before and after the sale.

Active Member of San Diego Association of Health Underwriters (SDAHU), which is the largest Association of Health Insurance Brokers.  He is also a member of the Legislative Board for SDAHU, and is a large advocate for the consumer.  Kris and members of his staff have received the Certified Health Care Reform Specialist (CHRS) designation to help clients navigate through the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

Kris is married to Liz Schulte (Vice President of Schulte Insurance) and resides in Rancho Santa Fe, CA.  They have two daughters who he is extremely proud of, Jessica Schulte Walker, who works in the employee benefits division of Schulte Insurance, and Kristina Schulte who works in Sales for Oracle. His absolute pride and joy in life is his grandaughter born in 2013 and his grandson born in 2016, and he loves spending as much time with them as possible.

Kris enjoys golf, reading, travel and is a supporter of the San Diego Padres, San Diego Chargers and our local military community.  He has had Season tickets to the Padres since the early 80’s, when they were over at Jack Murphy Stadium.
