Good news! Health Net has announced that their on and off exchange HMO policies will have Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal doctors in network. Health Net is a lower cost option than the other Scripps competitor – the Blue Shield individual PPO plan.

Don’t get caught without health insurance in 2016 – the fines are outrageous!

Enroll by 12/15/15 for a 1/1/16 effective date.

Enroll between 12/16/15 and 1/15/16 for a 2/1/16 effective date.

Enroll between 1/16/16 and 1/31/16 for a 3/1/16 effective date.

After that, you cannot enroll until the end of 2016 for a 2017 effective date unless you have a qualifying event mid-year. Don’t get caught with these fines!

The individual & family health insurance open enrollment is over for the time being unless you have a qualifying event mid year.  These events include marriage, birth of a child, adoption, losing group coverage, and more.
